So what has been happening through the winter?
Well not a big amount...
But recently I have finished the installation of my
eber spacher. Which is tucked in the Port Side of the
stern locker and draws air in from the foot of the
quarter berth... warms it and blows it back into the cabin
at foot level. This fitting is as per Eberspacher instructions
for a unit fitted with a rheostat controller.
I have noticed that on full power the in built thermostat
soon causes the unit to cut out.
I may need to change to an external room stat at some
stage..... better insulation of the exhaust may help........we
will see.
The heater is draws fuel from a small header tank I
had made up. The tank along with the skin fitting came from
a contact I now have at the Albin Vega Owners. If you
need any stainless steel fabrication he
really is the business...
Next and most pleasing.......
New upholstery. Again through the Albin Vega owners
I was able to get the whole lot renewed for well under £1k.
There guy used the old cushions as patterns and the
new ones are a perfect fit.
